Khuzhir village is
located near the famous cape Burkhan, there is a marvelous sandy beach next to the cape. It is a magnificent place for having a rest in the heart
of Baikal on the Olkhon island, which is sacred for shamanists. Here you can find calmness, relax among the beautiful
nature and forget urban stresses. Hospitable islanders will make you happy with
the local course: variety of fish dishes, Buryat “pozy”, fresh vegetables in
season and even “tarasun” (almost forgotten nowadays Buryat drink made of milk).
There is a regional museum with the rich collection telling about ancient way
of life of native people (Buryats). You can order varied walking, auto, bike,
horse or ship excursions to beautiful and interesting places. You also can meet
shaman and take part in the ancient rites for health and well-being. If you
